John Deere Crop Sprayer Trials
After many months of discussions and planning, the day finally arrived when teams from both Ascenso Tyres and BAB distribution could meet with John Deere at their UK Head Office facility in Langar near Nottingham
The purpose of the visit was to fit 4 Ascenso VDR2000 tyres to a 340M John Deere Crop Sprayer
Mark James from John Deere UK, a product specialist for Crop Care was there to oversee the new wheels produced by TEJ Wheels with the VF VDR2000 tyres, getting fitted to their mid-sized crop sprayer which they will use as a demonstrator.
Mark had been looking for a tyre which could handle the immense load going through the tyres whilst minimising soil compaction and damage.
With help from James Noon of Bush Tyres who following a thorough analysis of the loading going through each tyre was able to accurately identify the optimal pressure within the tyres both in the field and on the road.
The tyre pressures were then set at an incredibly low 15psi, this low operating pressure is what makes the Ascenso VDR2000 such a perfect match for the crop sprayer. The 340M crop sprayer is now perfectly set up, ready for them to perform trials on the tyres in real world conditions. In the not-too-distant future the trials will take place. John Deere will thoroughly evaluate their performance.
